ANE’s Collaborative Conservation Work in Rwanda

A five-day workshop bringing together conservationists and academics from across the Albertine Rift region recently ended with a call for collaboration between these parties and area governements in order to protect one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet. Beth Kaplin, core faculty in the Department of Environmental Studies, was responsible for organizing the gathering.

Rwanda’s New Times published an article featuring the work of this group drawn from the Rift countries of Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Tanzania.
