Credentials and Licensure: Clinical Mental Health Counseling

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling program is designed to prepare graduates to meet the educational requirements for national certification as Clinical Mental Health Counselors. Upon completion of clinical requirements, graduates also meet the requirements for licensure or certification as Mental Health Counselors in most states where such licensure or certification exists. Students who graduate with this degree find jobs in a variety of clinical settings including college counseling centers, substance abuse/addictions settings, women’s centers, and community mental health centers.
