Coaching Individuals with Asperger Syndrome and Related Disorders

A two-day workshop for parents and professionals working with individuals on the spectrum, from ages eight through adult

Presented by Ellen H. Korin, MEd

November 17–18, 2010 or April 6–7, 2011

Children and adults with Asperger Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, Nonverbal Learning Disabilities, and related disorders frequently struggle to attain the quality of life of their neurotypical peers. Despite their strong, often superior cognitive abilities, many are unable to acquire meaningful employment, develop relationships, or to live independently.

Coaching as an effective model for helping develop the skills needed for successful functioning and in acquiring skills and abilities that are intuitive within the neurotypical population. This course is an opportunity for educators, counselors, social workers, psychologists, and life coaches, as well as parents to acquire a new approach to working with children and adults on the autism spectrum.
