ABA Course Sequence

The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc.® has approved the following course sequence (current 2011-2012 curriculum) as meeting the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Examination® or the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst Examination®. Applicants will have to meet additional requirements to qualify.

2011-2012 Course Sequence

FIRST SEMESTER
Ethical Considerations in Behavior Analysis (1 credit)
Definitions and Characteristics & Principles, Processes and Concepts (3 credits)

SECOND SEMESTER
Intro to Autism Spectrum Disorders (1 credit)
Behavioral Assessment and Selecting Intervention Outcome Strategies (3 credits)
Professional Seminar (1 credit)
Internship (optional, 2 credits)

THIRD SEMESTER
Survey of Treatment Approaches Used for Autism Spectrum Disorders (1 credit)
Behavioral Change Procedures and System Support (3 credits)

FOURTH SEMESTER
Experimental Evaluation and Measurement of Behavior (3 credits)
