Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate Program

Applied Behavior Analysis is the primary, evidence-based, treatment for autism. Antioch has developed a training program designed to meet the educational requirements to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA®). Strong employment markets exist for individuals with these credentials.

Keep your job while you study.

The program accommodates working professionals. Classes start in late August with a series of weekends, once a month. Complete the program in five semesters and earn 21-27 master's credits.

Open to students with bachelor's or master's degrees.

Students who hold a master's degree will be working to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®). Students with a bachelor's degree will be working to become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA®). Do your independent field study at your job or do an internship through Antioch.

You can get your clinical training on the job if you work in a setting that meets the requirements for Supervised Independent Fieldwork as set out by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® and is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®).

All other students must participate in an internship arranged by Antioch University New England. This internship site can be in your home region. Internships arranged by Antioch University New England are limited in number, so early application is encouraged. Those who complete internships at their current jobs enroll for twenty-one graduate credits. Those who take an Antioch University New England-arranged internship take twenty-seven graduate credits.

Continuing education is always an option. You can enroll in individual courses on a space-available basis to broaden your knowledge of the subject—and earn graduate credits.
