Place-Based Education Projects

Working on the Cabin The Horatio Colony Nature Preserve and House Museum Staff follow place-based-education guidelines to collaborate with local schools on education projects: using the local environment and community to teach students academic concepts across curricula. Emphasizing hands-on, real-life learning, this approach helps students develop stronger ties to their community, environmental-stewardship skills, and a heightened commitment to public service. Each semester, Antioch University New England Graduate Students bring passion and enthusiasm to the planning and implementation of innovative, education projects.
