Recycling Poetry

Recycling
If you think you can get ca$h from trash,
Instead of it being turned turned to ash,
You can get money from plastic,
That's why I think it's fantastic,
Why do people think recycling is junk?
Those people just act like punks!!!
By Jon Shaughnessy

As part of their recycling unit during the 1999-2000 school year Ms. Cindi Blumsak, 6th grade teacher at the Beebe Environmental and Health Science Magnet School, had her students write recycling poems. The poem above, along with the attached poems, represent just a few examples of the great writing done by her students.
