Communities can only function effectively with good, committed leadership. But how do you encourage people to make the leap from “ordinary citizens” to community leaders? It can be done by providing a structured program that immerses participants in the critical issues that drive community life. Leadership Monadnock was an intensive, nine-month program that promoted the development of emerging community leaders through monthly sessions that include: presentations by industry experts, local and state officials, and community and business leaders; group discussions; workshops; and field trips.
