Intent to Participate
Please let us know if you intend to participate or not by clicking on the link below after reading the rest of this message.
Tickets
Each participant will receive two printed Commencement tickets and directions to Keene Middle School. These tickets must be shown by guests in order to enter the auditorium. We are able to accommodate two guests per participant in the auditorium. Overflow seating will be available in the cafeteria, where additional guests will be able to watch a large-screen projection of the ceremony. As we get closer to the date, if additional tickets become available, we will distribute them to you through waiting lists kept by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
Commencement Attire
It is customary that participants are suitably robed for this occasion, which is part of a longstanding respected academic tradition. Commencement attire consists of a gown, a hood, cap, and a tassel. You will be prompted to order any attire you might need after you complete the Intent to Participate form.
New Attire
New attire can be ordered online directly from University Cap and Gown, or call them at 800-585-5500. You will need AUNE’s school ID# which is 00128. Please have your credit card ready.
Participant Arrival Time
Please arrive at the auditorium at the Keene Middle School on Saturday by 9am. Arriving by 9am will enable you to robe and assemble for the Academic Procession.
Cap and Gown Reuse program
A committee of 2003 commencement participants began the Cap and Gown Book Scholarship Fund. It supports students who are single parents. We are pleased that the Cap and Gown Reuse Program is available this year. For more information and to order commencement attire through this program, please click here. If you choose not to order commencement attire through this program there are two ways you can still participate:
- If you purchase new attire, please consider donating all or part of it following commencement to grow the scholarship program. Hoods are the most urgently needed. You will receive an acknowledgement for a gift-in-kind.
- Make an outright cash donation to the scholarship by sending a check payable to: AUNE Cap and Gown Scholarship, Office of Development and Alumni Relations, AUNE, 40 Avon Street, Keene, NH 03431
