Among the faculty is Beth Kaplin, PhD, who teaches in the Department of Environmental Studies and is a leading researcher in tropical ecology. Gargi Roysircar, EdD, is a professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology and is currently researching how mental health practices can adapt to the cultural diversity of patients. David Sobel, MEd, is on the faculty of the Department of Education and is the forefront of an educational reform movement that stresses the use of the local environment as a laboratory to teach about science, ecology, and social studies. Bill Griffith, PhD, is a professor of Interdisciplinary Studies teaching in both the Departments of Management and in Applied Psychology. He is a licensed psychologist, an independent coach, and a management consultant. “Our faculty members have a unique and invaluable perspective on the topics they teach, because as professionals, all are involved in and help shape cutting-edge practices and methods in their fields.”
