Waldorf Collaborative Counseling:
Program Overview
The Waldorf Collaborative Counseling Program is designed to meet the needs of future collaborative counselors and current classroom teachers. Participants in the full program develop a comprehensive set of skills that enable them to actively support faculty and family teamwork toward building student resiliency needed in an increasingly complex world. All aspects of the program have a strong focus on addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral issues of children in the classroom and in the home.
The program consists of three four-day blocks offered per year, sequenced over a three-year period, for a total of nine blocks. Online support is available to those enrolled in the full program. Participants who attend all nine blocks over the three-year period receive a certificate of program completion.
“As an experienced Waldorf teacher, I found that the Waldorf Colaborative Counseling Program enhanced my teaching on many different levels. It gave me the means to strive and develop as a human being and thus empowered me to better work with students, parents and colleagues. In Waldorf education the true difference is made via our inner work. It also gave me many effective, loving and relevant tools to work with the complex lives and developmental processes of the children of our time. I have become more effective in manifesting social inclusion and developing a supportive and loving classroom community. Finally, I have been empowered to work with the school community and bring much of what I have learned to others who are striving to create a more loving and healthy environment in their classrooms and their lives.”
