Experienced Educators Program

It’s true: the best teachers are always learning. Moreover, we have found that graduates of our Experienced Educators Program are also leading. Our powerful cluster model brings teachers together to explore, create, strategize, and collaborate in professional learning communities. If you want to make a difference for your students and for your schools, this is the program for you.

Be a force for change.

If you aren’t willing to accept the status quo, and want more for your students and for your school communities, this program pairs you with like-minded educators. The engagement, intellectual rigor, and support from your professors and classmates will energize you.

Choose a focus that has special meaning for you.

Concentrate on developing experiential, integrated curricula, tackling sustainability in your classroom, developing lessons that have meaning for those on the Autism Spectrum, or preparing yourself to lead a school as a principal.

Let the schedule fit your life.

People have busy lives, and teachers are no exception. If you are an educator in New England, you can meet in regionally established clusters close to your home in our Year-Round Program. Or opt to join with educators from around the country in our Summer Programs located in Keene, New Hampshire.

Why did you choose Antioch New England? The program allowed me to build my degree program around my work—everything I studied, wrote about, and created at ANE centered around my work as a physical educator.

What was the best part of the Experienced Educators program? Through the ExEd program, I was acknowledged as an expert in my area, and encouraged to bring my expertise to my school and district. This has allowed me to bring a comprehensive school wellness program to my school and to other district schools. All of the schools will be creating wellness policies encouraging nutrition and physical activity. This will have a huge impact on students, and will engage teachers, staff, and parents as well.

Why does the world need you, and others like you, now? We need to ensure the health and wellbeing of our children. They are our future. As educators, we need to give them the tools they need to grow up to be well-educated, healthy, happy, engaged, and productive citizens.
